I was watching a show on real estate market on NDTV yesterday. A person called the show for an advise on buying an apartment in Thane, Mumbai with a budget of INR 45 Lakhs. The expert told him all he could get is a single bed room flat of area 684 sq ft with that kind of money which according to me is huge.
I was surprised to know this. Assumed that 45 Lakhs is the hard earned money of this person, doesnt he has the right of buying a decent flat with this amount?
Who is to blame for a situation like this? Government, we the people, WHO?
Companies out there create products, advertise them in such a way that they create a perception among people that they HAVE to buy them. To compliment this system, Banks are readily available to offer credit cards, loans etc finally taking the money out of hard earned pockets.
An ordinary person to have a quality and happy life should be above all this.
